Hat Gift Box

Oh my goodness, I haven't posted since Easter!! I have been busy with family, focusing on creating the right home working atmosphere for my 2 teenage children who are sitting their A levels and GCSE's in a few weeks.......no stress in our house!!!!!

So, posts may be brief over the next few weeks, but I couldn't turn away the opportunity to quickly make this adorable LD Hats off to Mom - Cupcake Wrap - CP.  Please follow the link which will take you to the files and project photos.

I decided to change the file slightly and make it into a Hat Gift Box. I think it turned out super cute.  The original LD file is No 1.  I altered the tab slightly using my Pazzles InVue software as you can see in image No 2.

I filled my hat with some Hershey Nuggets and used some coordinating paper for the wrappers.

For the embellishments I used the LD Hats Off To Mom - Accents - CP which cut beautifully using my Pazzles Inspiration (99.00 Dollar Special) cutting machine.

Happy Mother's Day tag and decorated glass jar

Hello, to all Mum's here in the UK........Happy Mother's Day.  I decided to paint this Kilner Jar with some white Americana Chalk Paint for glassware.  This was my 1st attempt and was very simple to do.  I applied several layers of the white paint to my jar using a soft brush. In between each coat I let it dry well.  

At the last minute I decided to add some Crafter's Companion Spray & Sparkle which is a gloss varnish with ultra-fine glitter.  The photo doesn't show the glitter very well, but it adds a lovely texture and shine to the paint.

I then cut out a tag using a 'MUM' sentiment from LD Tagged Sentiment SS and added 

some LD Dimensional Flowers using my Pazzles Inspiration die cutting machine.

I lightly sanded over the embossed glass words. Finally, I added some Hershey Kisses because every Mum likes kisses!

Mother's Day and LD FREEBIES

Here, in the UK tomorrow, it is Mother's Day and there are some great FREEBIE files to download.  I made this card last year and is very easy to make.  I imported my UK Mum and Sweet Mum graphics file into rectangle shape using my Pazzles Inspiration cutter software, then added some stitching around the edges using my line tool.

Once printed, from my Pazzles software, I used my paper trimmer to cut around the rectangle.  I then layered onto my card base.

So, now is the time to grab these LD FREEBIE files available this weekend.  There are

I love my Mum

Here, is an amazingly quick card that I have created using LD's Millions of Mums alphabet with my Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine for Mother's Day (USA).  I used the LD Try Me tool and typed out 'MUM', then saved  it at a high resolution.  Unfortunately, the current software for the Pazzles Studio Pro does not import .png files with transparency (but soon will).  To get round this I imported the .png file into Photoshop and saved it as a .jpeg which enabled me to use it in my Pazzles software.

I printed it onto some white textured cardstock to overcome the fact that the image has a white border around it.

I then typed my sentiment and placed a border around the edge using the rhinestone feature.  I matched the font and border with the colouring from the alphabet. 

Here is what my page looked like on my Pazzles visual mat before I printed it out.  Finally, I used my guillotine to cut my cardstock (along the black lines) as it was quick an easy to do with the straight edges,  therefore need to print the registration boxes for a full Print & Cut on this occasion.

Flower Flourish Shaped Card - Mother's Day

In the UK we have already celebrated Mother's Day but, for those of you in the USA or any other part of the world yet to celebrate......this card is for you.

I made a circle shaped card in my software and welded it together.  I personally like to put a topper to hide the fold but this is my preference.  I then made a in-line or my original circle shape and another to give me the thin patterned circle trim.

Using my software I typed my own sentiment then Print & Cut the banner onto patterned paper.

I love this delicate flourish which cut out beautifully using my cutter.  I simply added a pearl and rhinestone gem to the centre of the flower flourish and used my white pen to add some doodling.

I found this flower flourish in the SVG clearance sale on cuttable product at LD 

which is available through April.
