I don't do mornings - Owl Door Hanger

When I saw the Night Owl - Cut It Set which was recently released by Lettering Delights I just couldn't wait to use it to make a door hanger for my teenage son. During the summer holidays he has definitely not rushed to get out of bed in the mornings!

Print & Cut myself a door hanger and typed my sentiment (Mornings) using the Night Owl alphabet.  Once, you have purchased the alphabet you can use the Try Me Tool, type your sentiment and save at high resolution.  The Pazzles Studio Pro software does not import png formats, so I save it as a jpeg using Photoshop, then import into my Pazzles software with no problem and resized.

I used 'i don't do' from one of the sentiments included in the Night Owl - Cut It Set

In the above photo is my Print & Cut door hanger together with all the elements ready to assemble using my Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine.

Get the Pazzles Inspiration, the most comprehensive electronic die cutter available, for as little as 99 dollars down.

I used a Zig 2 way glue pen to glue the intricate layer.

I love the door hanger but don't think my teenager son is so impressed!

Let's Chat - Retro Cutting Collection

I couldn't believe it when Pazzles released their latest Retro Toy Cutting Collection.  Unbelievably, I found the Retro Teeth toy that I played with as a child in my own children's toy cupboard.  It is such a popular toy that has found it's way under my duvet to scare me at night!
As a DT member, I was asked by Pazzles to create a card using one of the files in the Retro Toys Cutting Collection

It is available for FREE to all Pazzles Craft Room Members in the Pazzles Library.

However, if you are not a member and would like to purchase the cutting collection you can do so from the Pazzles Store which is available in .wpc, svg and ai format for your cutting machines.

I cut out my 'chattering teeth' using coloured cardstock and added it to my card using an Action Wobble to give the fun element of the teeth chattering!

I Print & Cut my background using an overlay and speech bubble from the Pazzles Craft Room.  I used the rhinestone feature as an inline to the speech bubble and added the sentiment using a font included in my software.

To learn more about the Retro Cutting collection please head over here, to the Pazzles Blog.

Summer Holidays - Stringbean

I am back from my summer holidays and need another holiday to recover!  We had a lovely time and one of the sunniest holidays we have had in the UK for many years.  I hope you all had a wonderful summer and it makes such a difference when the sun shines.......one happy family!

Anyway, enough chatter.  I only wish I looked as glamorous as this Stringbean Lady, but no chance!  I love the Full Color Stringbean - Cut It sets as they are so versatile, and can be used for so many projects.  If you think the bundle is a tad expensive you could always buy the sets individually.  As they are coloured, you can use them for Print & Cut projects with your cutting machine or use the colours to guide you which coloured cardstock to use with your cutting machine.

The Full Color Stringbean Cut It Set is specially designed to be used with your cutting machine. Each Cut It set includes several different file formats (ai, dxf, eps, gsd, jpg, pdf and svg).

Finally, I layered the postcard paper onto some coloured cardstock.

Supplies :-

Die Cutting Machine - Pazzles Inspiration
All Aboard - Papermania
Coloured Cardstock
Dotted paper - from my stash

Bee Happy Card

I have got to tell you this is such a simple card, but so much fun to make, using digital papers from the latest LD Bees Knees paper pack with my Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine.

Get the Pazzles Inspiration, the most comprehensive cartridge-free electronic die cutter available, for as little as 99 dollars down.

I designed my card using the Pazzles Studio Pro software.  I imported the hexagon svg file and took out the fill/colour.  I also added the svg sentiment to my card.  Then, I selected the colour picker tool to match the colour of 'happy' with the outline on my hexagon.  I didn't need to prepare any registration boxes for Print & Cut as it was just as easy to print using my printer, then use my paper trimmer to cut around the black outline defining my card front.  Please note that, I cut the card front out once I had adhered all the hexagon pieces.

Hopefully this will make sense by the end of my blog post!

Here, is how I prepared to print my digital papers.  On this occasion, I didn't want to use an A4 sheet of paper so I selected 13 x 8cm as seen in the above screen shot.

Here is the digital paper coming off my printer.

I then used my paper trimmer to cut to size.

I laid the digital paper onto my cutting mat.

I cut out several hexagons.......

........so that I could make several more cards using a similar design.

Now the fun part.....play around placing the papers where you want on the design!

I am really pleased how this looks and have saved my pennies from purchasing metal dies!  The patterns and combinations you can use are numerous!

Give it a go, I guarantee you will have fun with this one :)

Supplies:-
Canon Printer (printing the digital papers)
Pazzles Cutting Machine – Inspiration Vue
LD Bees Knees Paper Pack (for the paper designs)
LD Bees Knees Cut It Set  (for the sentiment and hexagon)
