From time to time, I see a cutting file and would just love to have the time to cut, but then think to myself, I can do that when time allows. So, sometimes I just like to design a card using a cutting file and print it out....quick and simple.
I have used This Mum's For You Pennants from Lettering Delights which come in ai, dxf, eps, gsd, jpg, pdf and svg cuttable file formats.
For the 2 cards, I have used the svg format. I drew myself a rectangle, then selected arc from path to draw myself the string for the pennants. Once I imported the svg pennant into my software, I resized them, and slightly rotated the pennant to fit along the string.
I then, typed my sentiment and used the colour picker tool to match the colour of the font from the pennants. I printed the design out on my home printer and used my guillotine to trim around the rectangle design. I cut our my base card and cut a smaller layer out of pink the card. Each card was made in different colour ways matching the colour of the font 'Grateful' and 'Just a note' to my card base.
It would be quite simple to make a batch of these as a gift.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much Gremma for your kind comments. To make this card I used software that comes with my Pazzles Inspiration Creative Cutter (cutting machine), click the BANNER at the top of my blog (Dream It, Create It, Cut It) for a video tutorial. BIF means Blogging It Forward which is a group I have joined.
