Framed Salutation Cards

I love these simple LD Framed Salutations Cards which come with lots of fun shapes and sentiments.  They are easy to cut using my Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine.

I backed the front of the card with white card stock.  I embossed the card using a diagonal embossing folder and then scored a double line using my scoreboard. I used a glue pen to adhere the fine detail to my white card stock.

Here, I have made another card using the 'hello' sentiment.  I added some flat backed pearls to the embossed diagonals to give it more dimension.

I love the simple, clean cut look to these cards which are perfect when I want to write a quick note in a hurry.

Happy Mother's Day tag and decorated glass jar

Hello, to all Mum's here in the UK........Happy Mother's Day.  I decided to paint this Kilner Jar with some white Americana Chalk Paint for glassware.  This was my 1st attempt and was very simple to do.  I applied several layers of the white paint to my jar using a soft brush. In between each coat I let it dry well.  

At the last minute I decided to add some Crafter's Companion Spray & Sparkle which is a gloss varnish with ultra-fine glitter.  The photo doesn't show the glitter very well, but it adds a lovely texture and shine to the paint.

I then cut out a tag using a 'MUM' sentiment from LD Tagged Sentiment SS and added 

some LD Dimensional Flowers using my Pazzles Inspiration die cutting machine.

I lightly sanded over the embossed glass words. Finally, I added some Hershey Kisses because every Mum likes kisses!

Mother's Day and LD FREEBIES

Here, in the UK tomorrow, it is Mother's Day and there are some great FREEBIE files to download.  I made this card last year and is very easy to make.  I imported my UK Mum and Sweet Mum graphics file into rectangle shape using my Pazzles Inspiration cutter software, then added some stitching around the edges using my line tool.

Once printed, from my Pazzles software, I used my paper trimmer to cut around the rectangle.  I then layered onto my card base.

So, now is the time to grab these LD FREEBIE files available this weekend.  There are

Gift Card Holders

I love giving gifts to my family and friends, but sometimes the cost of the postage is too much  So, sending a gift card is the next best thing.  I saw these pretty Gift Card Holders in the LD Sweet Nothings Gift Card - Cut It Project Set which are available in various file formats

for your cutting machines.

I cut the Gift Card Holders using thick patterned card with my Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine.  They were very quick and easy to to assemble.  I added my flower embellishments from the same set using foam craft squares to give extra dimension. I added a small Velcro Dot to open and close the gift card.

So cute....... I love them!  I better make a batch of these as I am sure they are going to come in handy very soon.

Lucky You - St Patrick's Day FREE LD printables

If you are looking for some quick printables for St Patrick's Day you are going to want to grab these LD Luck of the Irish printables whilst they are FREE!  There are 4 printables in the set.  You can either print them using your printer options or import the images into your cutter software to Print and Cut.

I am using my Pazzles InVue and imported both the images, then resized in my software, so that they were an exact fit for my candy bags.  

I used the LD Luck of the Irish printables which are FREE till midnight tonight, MST......... so hurry!  Basically, I printed them from my Pazzles InVue software having resized them.  I then scored along the printed mark and then guillotined around the straight edges.  Super quick to do.

The beauty of these printables, is that you can make a batch of them for the kids at school, and their after school activity groups.  I have used small bags to be more economical with the candy when handing them out to the class children.

Carrot Patch Gift Bag

I recently saw this cute Carrot Patch Gift Bag included in the 

LD Flopsy Chick Basket - Cut It Project Set and all the baskets are ADORABLE!

I altered the file slightly....... 

I decided to back the carrots with lighter orange card stock to give the basket a bit more strength. Here, is how I did it using my Pazzles InVue software.

1. Cut one of the carrots using the Cut Path Tool

2. Cut carrot leaves off using the Cut Path Tool

3. Make an in-line of the shape and cut in lighter orange card stock multiple times.

Cut out all the elements using your digital die cutting machine.  

I am using my Pazzles Inspiration Vue.

The basket is very easy to assemble. See below how I adhered the extra pieces.

 Continue along the carrot patch!

Now, take your time to attach the carrots to the base of the basket using strong glue.

 Almost done.......just to add the handle. 

Then, fill your Carrot Patch Gift Bag with goodies!

Clover Leaf St Patrick's Gift Bag

Hi everyone......I learnt something new today using my Pazzles Inspiration Vue cutting machine.  It makes me smile when I do that! So, here is my St Patrick's Day Gift Bag which can be filled will all sorts of yummy St Paddy's gifts.

I used the Wine Bag cutting file found in the Pazzles Craft Room Library cut out of Kraft Card which makes it into a strong bag.

I made a front panel using the Pazzles InVue software and added some clover leaves, but I wanted to give them some dimension.

So, I played around with the Cut Path tool and this is the look I achieved.........so exciting as I love challenging myself using new software. 

I just love how the centre part of the clover leaf is not cut away, enabling me the curl the leaves creating the dimension I wanted to achieve.  I punched a little flower for the centre and added a self adhesive pearl.  I also inked around the leaves of the clover leaf for definition using Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

I added some brown twine and secured the opening of the bag with a wooden peg.

 Of course, you could change the clover leaves and add flowers, hearts or butterflies to the front of the bag, which would look pretty too........I might try that idea someday!
