Curved Edge Gate Fold Card Base

Here, is my latest Design Team post for the Cut It Up Challenge Blog using Mist with a die cut.  This was a tricky one for me, as I only own one bottle of Tattered Angel's Mist, which I have used only once before!

I used a Curved Edge Gate Fold Card Base from the Pazzles Craft Room, which comes in svg and wpc file format. This is such a pretty shaped Gate Fold card, which I cut using Kraft Card with my Pazzles Inspiration Vue cutting machine.  I then layered some pretty Kaisercraft papers on the panels and the inside of the base card.

The Curved Edge Gate Fold Card Base is included in the Spring Card Cutting Collection in the Pazzles Craft Room.

I cut out the butterfly cutting files using different papers in the Kaisercraft, Oh So Lovely collection.  I used my Tattered Angels Mist to give some shine to the bottom layer of the butterfly wings.  It was difficult to photograph, but it looks ever so pretty.

I couldn't stop there, and used my glimmer mist on the flowers and leaves!

I added a paper rose from my stash and some pearls on one of the panels.

Lots of dimension on this card but I hope you like it.

I am a Cut It Up - Design Team Member!

I am super excited to share with you that I have been selected to be on the
Cut It Up Challenge Design Team!

Yikes, what am I doing?  Since being on the Pazzles Craft Room Design Team for the last 2 years I decided to take a break.  Only, two months later I am missing the crafting experience of being part of a team, and applied to the recent DT call out at Cut It Up ,,,,,,,and was accepted!!!!  What I love about this team is that we are like minded crafter's with a passion for die cutting machines.

So, here is my 1st Design Team project for the Cut It Up Challenge Blog using my Pazzles cutting machine.  The theme is Paper Piecing, that is to layer a patterned paper on a stamp and include a die cut in your project. So, I will explain....... 

My shaped base card is cutting file available in svg, wpc and ai file formats in the Pazzles Craft Room using the Spring Card Cutting Collection which includes a whole collection of cutting files for various cutting machines.

I cut another piece using patterned paper and adhered it to my base Kraft card. I then stamped my scallop heart and leaves onto the patterned paper.  I stamped the inner heart onto different patterned paper and coloured some of the flowers using my colouring pens.  I paper pieced this to the centre of the scalloped heart using foam squares.

I then cut out a paper bow using my Pazzles cutting machine and added a pearl embellishment to the centre.

At first I struggled with this theme as I don't own many stamps, but I am so pleased at how it turned out.  I may even make a few more for my friends!

Decorated Lemon Curd Jar

I love it when I see a FREE file.  I tell my crafting followers, to take advantage and download files when they are FREE, as you never know when you might need them in the future.  The LD Fruit Cocktail Lemon is available as a cutting and graphic file for your cutting machines till April, 19th (tonight) midnight, MST.

I love decorating gifts and taking them round to friends, when I have the opportunity to pop over for a chat.  I removed the sticky labels from this jar of lemon curd and wrapped some patterned papers around the jar, very simple to do!

Using my Pazzles Inspiration Vue, I was easily able to import the svg image, select the base layer and make a thin outline to create my cutting line.

I cut a circle, using the same patterned paper for the top of my jar and added some pretty flowers from my stash.  How much nicer this is, as a gift for a friend, which only took a few minutes using my Pazzles Inspiration Vue cutting machine.

Shadow Play Puppets

Oh my goodness, if you have young children or grand-children 

you are going to adore the NEW LD released products called Shadow Play.

As you can see, my kids had great fun retelling the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears!

Paper basket weave

Here is a paper weaved basket that reminds me of when I made one at primary school.......such good memories.  I created this from the LD Patricia's Easter Baskets using my Pazzles Inspiration Vue cutting machine (99.00 Dollar Special).  Initially I made if for Easter, but never got round to posting it!  Never mind, I think it is kinda cute for any time of the year filled with candy.

Above is the original basket created by Patricia Zapata who designed the file for LD......such a creative lady.

A couple of weeks ago I visited my local papercraft store and bought some pretty Kaisercraft paper, which I combined with some textured cardstock.  I inked the edges to give extra definition to the paper weave and flowers.

This file, easily came together, with the help of the pdf instructions included in the download.  The LD Patricia's Easter Baskets - Cut It Project comes with two different files, and of course, can be resized using your cutter software.  For this project I used the smaller of the two files included in the set.

Bunny Bag using FREE LD Bunny Straw Topper

Sorry folks, I know I said I was done making Easter projects, but I had to squeeze this one in today.  I thought you would all like the chance to grab this FREE file!  The project is supposed to be LD Bunny Straw Topper, but I have used the cutting file as a bag embellishment..

I know little Zander (one of the youngest members of the LD family), is the cutest Bunny ever, but I thought I would use the cutting file to decorate my little bag. I used some white, black, glitter and pink flocked heat transfer material using various brands with my
Pazzles Inspiration Vue cutting machine.   

It turned out so cute, I even surprised myself at how easy it was to assemble.  I used all the elements of the file, but deleted the slits for the straw. Just resize, cut the various heat transfer materials and apply using an iron!!!

Easter Chick Gift Bag

Oh my goodness, I adore this Easter Chick  Gift Bag taken from the LD Lil Peanuts (CP).  I work in a primary school and during the last 2 weeks we have had 10 chicks hatch and watched them grow right in front of the kids.  I must admit, that all the staff had a sneaky cuddle with the chicks, when the kids had gone home.

Once, I had cut out the elements using my Pazzles Inspiration Vue cutting machine, I inked around the edges to give extra dimension.

I resized the LD Lil Peanuts - Cut It Project to almost fill a 12" x 12" cutting mat so that I could fill it with Easter eggs. This is a simple project to put together if you are a beginner, or you want to make a few of these for the kids or if you think this is way too cute!  You must pop over to check out the rest of the products in the set as they are all adorable.
