Cut It Up Challenge - #79 Sports

It is with heavy heart that I have decided to take a break as Design Team member for the Cut It Up Challenge Blog, and today is my last project.  I have enjoyed it immensely and got to know the most generous crafter's whilst on the Design Team, but I now need to focus on my own health, work and family leading up to Christmas.

A sports themed project including a die cut.

My 15 year old daughter LOVES playing tennis and nothing gives me greater pleasure watching her play in local tennis matches during the weekends.  So, I couldn't resist making this little gift box for her, which I have filled with some goodies.  All the files are available from the Pazzles Craft Room.

I have Print and Cut the Miss Kate Cuttables Tennis Title cutting file and adhered it to the 

front of my box using craft foam pads.

I didn't use the tennis ball included in the Sports Box Cutting Collection, but copied and enlarged the tennis ball from the title, so that it would match perfectly.  There are 9 Sports themed gift boxes in the collection which come in wpc and svg file formats.  All are great fun and make gorgeous gifts.

Cut It Up Challenge Blog-  #78 Old School

Use old supplies or an old technique including a die cut.

I have had this LD Tissue Box (CS) cutting file for over 2 years and have been meaning to make a project.  So, I am pleased to say that the challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to use it and I am so pleased with how it turned out.  I might even make a few of these for my colleagues at school as the school staff are always prone to colds during the Autumn Term!!

I have also used this taupe gingham cardstock which I have had for years, only because I love the colour and it was my last sheet, hence I didn't want to use it!

I did alter the cutting file slightly, I moved the oval to the centre of the box, but you could place wherever you so desired.  I like how it opens at one end to slide your tissue packet into the cover.

As it is the summer holidays and crafting time is almost zero with the kids around I kept it simple.  I used some yellow cardstock to create a rim around my oval aperture.  I also punched out some flowers and leaves which I arranged around the top of the box. Lastly, I created a small banner and stamped my sentiment.

  I saw this cute bee cutting file and thought it just perfect for a quick project using my

Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine.. It is just the perfect size to hold my mini tubes full of black and yellow jelly beans.

I have used the LD Squawk Box (CP) for the box and the LD Squawk Box (CS) for the bee.  There are lots of available options in the sets and the collection so it is worth checking it out.

When you check the links for the Cut Set (CS) you will see a main image.  To see the files included in the set you need to select 'additional images' and scroll through the images

I have used vinyl for the facial features as it gives a much softer look than card stock.

When I filled my SRM mini tubes, I wrapped some black gingham paper around the rim and the top of the lids to coordinate with the cute bee.

Cut It Up Challenge Blog - #76 Number/s

It's time to join the Cut It Up Challenge #76 - Numbers 

  For my Design Team project I have used a cutting file from the

Pazzles Pop Up Number Cards Collection. 

 Wow, I love this cutting collection.  No measuring, just import the cutting file onto your visual mat, resize and cut using your favourite papers!  Simple as that.  The cutting file comes in wpc, svg and ai file format for most digital die cutting machines.  The Pop Up Number Cards Collection cutting collection is available for FREE to members or you can purchase the collection from the Pazzles Store.

Cut It Up Challenge Blog - #74 Stickers

The weeks seem to go so fast and I can't believe it's Friday!  

Here is my Design Team project over at the Cut It Up Challenge Blog.

Challenge #74 - Stickers

The challenge is to use 'stickers'.  Either, a sticker image and/or a sticker sentiment 

including a Die Cut on your project.  

Well.......I don't own many stickers, so I thought I would create my own!

I used the cute owl graduate from the LD Hats off to You (GS). 

 I imported the owl into my Pazzles software and vectorised the image to create my cutting line.

I then Print and Cut the file using my Pazzles Inspiration Vue, with a label sheet from Staples. Using the Print and Cut mat together with registration marks makes it SO EASY which ensures accurate cuts.  It is very simple to make your own stickers.  Instead of printing onto paper or cardstock you just print onto sticky label sheets.

I then cut this Graduation Hat from the LD Hats off to You - Cut It project set.  The set includes wonderful gifts for your graduation day.  I created the Graduation Hat for the top of my Kilner (UK) or Mason Jar (USA) which I had filled with chocolate coins.  I cut out 2015 using the same bright yellow cardstock as I used for my tassel. 

The graduation hat comes with .pdf instructions to help you assemble the project.  I think this makes a cute, inexpensive gift for Graduation Day, what do you think?

Cut It Up Challenge Blog - Stars and Stripes

It's time again for my Design Team project over on the Cut It Up Challenge Blog

using my Pazzles Inspiration Vue cutting machine.

Challenge #73 - Stars and Stripes

Well, for a UK girl this one was a tricky challenge one for me.  At first, I couldn't find any papers that fitted the description in my large paper stash.  Thankfully, I found a couple of sheets by Graphic 45, which I incorporated into my project. I used this gorgeous Banner Box found in the Pazzles Craft Room and decorated it with my Stars and Stripes papers.

I typed out my sentiment and layered it onto the inside of my box.  The Banner Box is available FREE to Pazzles Craft Room members.

I designed some stars using my Pazzles software and resized them.  Once, I had cut them out of red cardstock I inked around the edges.  I punched out the stars from the patterned paper using a small circle punch.  On the largest star I used an epoxy sticker on top of some striped paper!

Here is the Banner Box closed.  I added more Stars and Stripes patterned paper around the sides of the box.  Finally, I couldn't resist decorating my Hershey Nuggets too!
