Decorated Kraft Paper Bags

I recently purchased some Kraft paper bags and Christmas stickers from SRM stickers and thought I would see how quickly I could pretty them up!

I cut out a panel from a sheet of Kaisercraft - North Pole patterned papers and adhered to the front of my paper bag.  I then took a fine liner and doodled around the edges around the panel. 

I made a pretty bow with some embellishments that coordinated with the papers to add to the top of the bag.

 I  took part of a sticker that I cut down, to adhere at an angle on 2 corners of my printed panel.

Yes, it's that easy!

Now, I am off to decorate some more paper bags using some panels from my patterned papers.

New Home - Decorated Wooden Ornament

I have decorated this Wooden Birdhouse Ornament as a small gift for one of the teacher's I work with, as she has just moved into her 'New Home'.  I am very excited, as I have learnt something NEW using my Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine. It enabled me to cut the basic elements of the birdhouse without any need to measure!!!!

I bought my Wooden Birdhouse Ornament from my local craft shop that stock's the most delightful wooden items.

I decided to give the  birdhouse a lick of paint using a sponge and 

some Jo Sonja paint.

I then refereed to one of Klo's  pre-recorded Classroom sessions in the Pazzles Craft Room for instructions, on how to create a cutting file using a wooden Home Décor items such as this birdhouse.

All I had to do was lay the wooden item in my scanner.  Scan the item and save as a jpeg.  I then imported it into my Pazzles software > autotraced > which created a cutting line!!!! It was easy peasy using my Pazzles software and soon I had cut out the pieces using my pretty patterned papers. 

I then cut out two 3D Butterfies, again using my Pazzles, and added a self adhesive pearl to the centre.  I also put a ring of smaller rhinestones around the opening of the birdhouse.

Finally, I cut out some banners, again using my Pazzles Inspiration and stamped some alphabet letters for my sentiment.

I am so pleased how this turned out that I am tempted to keep it for myself!

Thank You Card

Over at the Pazzles Blog, the Design Team members were asked to make simple Thank You cards with files from the Pazzles Craft Room Library using our Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine.

The beauty of using a cutting machine is that now I have designed my card, I can alter the look for a female or masculine Thank You card using the appropriate papers in my craft room....all the hard work has been done.

Give Thanks - Wall Hanging

Today I thought I would try to make a cheat's wooden wall hanging!  

I didn't have the correct wood to make the frame, but recently I had purchased some wood effect  paper......just perfect for my little project.

I found some wooden slats in the corner of the garage and glued them together.  I then used my Dulux tester pot of paint and painted the edges including the back of the wooden slats.  I trimmed a piece of paper from the Kaisercraft - Garage Days Collection using my cutting machine and adhered it to my painted board. I sanded some of the edges of the paper and inked around the frame using some brown Tim Holtz Distress ink.

I had just the right amount of brown vinyl to cut out my sentiment and leaf using my Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine.  I then got my husband to drill 2 holes in the top of the frame and threaded some garden twine.

I hope you like my cheat's version of a wooden wall hanging!

My Sweet Pumpkins

Here is my latest DT project for Pazzles,  My Sweet Pumpkins.  It is a shaped card using the 3 pumpkins file from the Pazzles Craft Room.  The file is available in WPC & SVG file format for most cutting machines.

This is a simple shaped card made using my Pazzles Inspiration Cutting Machine.  It was great to be able to use my NEW patterned papers and some of my favourite embellishments to finish off the card.
