Father's Day Gift Box - Pazzles Design Team

Father's Day is soon approaching and I have made this Father's Day Gift Box for my Pazzles Design Team project this month.  It is super easy to create using my Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine.

I have Print and Cut the topper which gives me accurate cuts each time using the registration marks combined with the Print and Cut mat.

In the Pazzles Craft Room this week's FREE file is the Leafy Cut Out Border available in wpc and svg file format.  You can download this file using any digital cutting machine, which accepts the named file formats to create your own projects.

I think this would also be great as a quick Print and Cut project.

Tie-riffic Dad Gift Box

Here is my latest Design Team project for the Cut It Up Challenge Blog
Challenge #72 - Ties for Fathers' Day

I knew exactly what I wanted to make but due to the kids being on their 1/2 term holiday break, I had left making it to the last minute.  I used the 'Neck Tie Shaped Box from the Pazzles Craft Room (see details below) and it cut out perfectly 1st time.  I think the box was cut out in record time and I was squealing with excitement as it came together so quickly.

I cut the tie clip using some bronze textured cardstock that has a lovely shine to it and added some tinted rhinestones for extra luxury.  I stamped out a sentiment onto Kraft cardstock and added it to the tie clip using craft foam pads.

 Hershey Kisses are just perfect as fillers for gifts .........chocolates and kisses for Father's Day!

  

I made my own toppers by using the tex tool for '#1 Dad' and resized a moustache cutting file, also found in the Pazzles Craft Room.

I made a ton of these in my Pazzles InVue software which I Print and Cut.  Super quick and easy to do using the Registration Mark in the software for accurate cutting.

Digital Moustache Wrapping paper - Pazzles

Here is my latest  Pazzles Design Team project for Father's Day using my Pazzles Inspiration cutting machine. 

I have had such fun designing my own digital paper using my Pazzles software with the Six Moustaches cutting file found in the Pazzles Craft Room Library.

 I printed out my design using my colour printer and 

then wrapped up his Father's Day gifts. 

In addition, I used myPazzles software to design this cute topper to match the digital papers.

Dad Tag Sentiment - Shaped Card

Just sharing a quick card that I made from Tagged Sentiments included in the LD Great Gift Giving Bundle using my Pazzles Inspiration software. This card makes me smile, because when I first met my husband he had a moustache!  One evening, 10 years later he decided to shave it off without telling anyone!  It took my 3 children and I, a couple of days to work out what was different about him.  My youngest piped up at tea time "Dad your moustache has gone". We all burst into laughter, hence the saying......."Love is blind"

Anyway here is a simple tutorial for those of you just learning about your software.

I imported the svg tagged sentiment into my software and removed the fill.  

I then selected Inline/Outline on my left side bar using the Pazzles Studio Pro software.  This opened up the transformation menu.  I selected an thickness of 0.15 and checked Inline (see red line).

I also deleted the hole at the top of the tag.

I then selected the Move Point Tool and Scissors (Cut Straight Line). I drew a straight line, holding my shift key to cut across the tag just above the DAD lettering.

I then moved the Inline part of the tag across to a clear space on my visual mat which gave me the layer for my patterned paper on my tag.

Now to make the base of my Tagged card.......I took my original tag, selected C on my keyboard, Mirror, According to (top/middle coordinate, duplicate, and apply. 

I then moved the top tag down slightly using my down arrow key on my keyboard to overlap the other tag.  Then I selected Weld.  

You should hopefully have your Tag Sentiment shaped card!

I cut out a moustache from another LD set and adhered it to the front of my card using craft foam pads.  I just couldn't resist adding a punched heart!

I thought this would be a quick simple card for Father's Day.

Father's day T-shirt - I love my Daddy!

Why do 8 yr old boys HATE having their photo's taken!  I thought I would make a cute T-shirt for him to wear on Father's Day........maybe he is a bit old for it and I should have made one a few years earlier, but worth a try!

It is super easy to make using T-shirt transfer material with the LD Tie Alphabet.

You will need to purchase the alphabet and then you can type you own sentiment.  When happy with the sentiment you can download it at high resolution as an image. Then, I imported the ties into my Pazzles Inspiration visual mat.  I typed "I love my...." using the Darlin BTN font on my computer and using the eye dropper tool matched the blue from one of the ties to my text.

I just rearranged the sentiment and ties to my liking and using the T-shirt transfer paper printed it out following the instructions on the packet.

I decided not to do a print and cut with my Pazzles Inspiration as it is quite easy to hand cut around this image with scissors.  

Incidentally, my printer has an option to reverse the printed image for me, so check out your printer options otherwise, you will have to mirror the image in your Pazzles or similar software before printing.

Then, I lay the image onto my white T-shirt on a flat surface.  This T-shirt transfer paper recommends a hot iron with steam turned off.  I carefully moved the iron over the back of the image for a couple of minutes.  I particularly like this T-shirt transfer paper as the grid helps me lay the image straight on the T-shirt!

When the paper had cooled down I carefully peeled back the paper to reveal my transfer!

Matthew being 8 yrs old did a DEAL with me.......he cooperated in wearing the T-shirt but insisted that I did not show his (cute) face in the photo for everyone to see (shame)!!!
