Feels Like Autumn card

I have had an extremely busy week at work and running the kids about to various after school activities.  So, I thought I would make a quick Print & Cut card with my
Pazzles Studio Pro Software and Pazzles Inspiration electronic cutting machine.

I cut my base layer folded card using my Pazzles Inspiration with my recent purchase of Kraft card which I love as it is so easy to match to a range of patterned papers. 

I decided to use the Seasoned Fall Cut It Simple Shapes which can be bought individually or you can buy the bundle Simple Shapes Super Plus Bundle which is included in this set.  On a personal note this is a fantastic bundle and well worth getting.

The beauty of using Cut It's is that they are designed specifically with cutting machines in mind. Each Cut It set includes several different file formats (ai, dxf, eps, gsd, jpg, pdf and svg). If you don't have a cutting machine, you can still use these graphics, but you will need to use a third party software program.

As well as using Lettering Delights Cut It's with your cutting machine, they can also be used with the Print & Cut technique.......such a bonus if you don't want to buy the graphic set.

I simply imported the svg leaves into my Pazzles Studio Pro software.   I then used one of my favourite fonts LD Cotton Candy and typed out Feel like, matching the brown of the leaf to the text using my color picker tool from the Color Transformation menu.

I then imported the svg sentiment AUTUMN from the same set.  I broke the layers and again used my color picker tool to match the color for the sentiment to the leaf.

At first I printed it out on white paper. It looked too stark so I looked in my embarrassing large paper stash  and found the perfect paper to print my leaves on.

I then cut around the image and layered it onto my Kraft card base.

Now, I was happy with the end result!

Decorated Notelet using FREEBIE graphic!

Thought I would make this quick notelet for a friend of mine who is going through a rough time.

I simply imported the FREE graphic file into my Pazzles 2010 Studio software, autotraced the image and then print & cut using my Pazzles Inspiration digital cutter.

For the scallop I used my pen tool in my Pazzles to give a hand drawn effect!

Love this sentiment stamp which is just perfect for my friend.

Exciting NEWS to share!

Today, I have got some SUPER exciting news to share, especially for those of you that use a Pazzles Inspiration or a similar digital cutter!

I am on the Creative Team of a new on-line magazine called the Cutting Edge magazine  which went live on September, 1st.  The great thing about this magazine, is that it is dedicated to a range of digital cutters.  There will be tips on using SVG files, freebies, tutorials and lots of projects
from the Creative Team.

I am overwhelmed to be up amongst amazing designers and, being the only UK crafter on the Creative Team I feel completely freaked out!  But, I am sure I will be OK once I get crafting.

Hexagonal Decorative Boxes

 

I love making boxes with my Pazzles cutting machine especially at this time of the year as they are so handy for festive gifts.

For these boxes I have used the Thingamabox Cut It Project  from Lettering Delights which come in different designed bases and lids.

I cut these 2 boxes using the cp-01 file for the base. Then I cut out 2 different lids cp-04 and cp-09 in coordinating paper.

I decided not to cut out the top centre piece of the lid design so I moved it to the side and made it larger in 2 increasing sizes using the outline feature.

Using different coordinating paper I layered the centre design and added an antique brad to the middle.

And here is the inside of the decorative box ready to fill with a gift.

Using this double sided paper by Kaisercraft (These Days Collection) made the box really easy to put together.  I love this paper so much I think I will have to buy some more!
