Milk Carton template, cutting file - GIVEAWAY!

Sadly, my term has come to an end as a member of  the Design Team at The Cutting Cafe but I have finished with this adorable HALLOWEEN MILK CARTON and PLAIN MILK CARTON template, cutting file which I have cut out on my Pazzles Inspiration.  The HALLOWEEN file comes with 8 different window cut outs which comes in the following formats: WPC, PDF AND SVG.

HALLOWEEN

As soon as I saw this ghost cut out I thought of using this Happy Haunting Girls digi paper from Pink Petticoat and the coordinated star paper for the Plain Milk Carton.

For the sentiment on the tag I used the printable set of GOT MILK CARTON SENTIMENTS which includes 21 images. There are 7 different sentiments in different sizes and go perfectly well with the MILK CARTON TEMPLATES.

You will be pleased to know that the scattering of marshmallows and the rest of the bag were demolished very quickly by my 3 children......then the sugar rush kicked in!!!!

****************

So there we are, my final Monthly Inspiration at The Cutting Cafe for this term and here is a GIVEAWAY. Just leave a comment as to what you think about my project using the HALLOWEEN MILK CARTON template, cutting file or PLAIN MILK CARTON set and I will randomly choose 1 person to WIN one of these Milk Carton sets.  All comments to be posted by Friday, 2nd September and I will announce the winner on  Saturday, 3rd September.

Please remember on Wednesday, to pop over to THE CUTTING CAFE BLOG and see all the other designers projects this month.  As each design team member will be giving a set away on their blog you will have more chance of winning a FREE set if you comment on all the blogs.....GOOD LUCK!

Gumball Shaped Card

Next week's monthly inspiration by the Design Team at The Cutting Cafe, is using one of the 3 Gumball sets.  For this card I picked the Gumball Shaped Card.

This GUMBALL MACHINE is approx. 6 by 3.5 inches. The set comes with 10 sentiments, 16 greetings in gumball circles, 2 clustered gumballs (big and small) and 2 different invite images. Plus the set comes with a matching envelope.

The set comes in the following formats: PDF, WPC AND SVG.

For the orange background paper I have used one of the Matryoshka Tiles - cut it tiles from Lettering Delights.  I have resized the tile and saved the tile as a .jpg into my Textures folder in my $99 Pazzles Inspiration.

Cutting Cafe Monthly Inspiration - using silhouette set

Here is my card for The Cutting Cafe monthly inspiration.  Regina Easter asked the Design Team to use the FUN WITH SILHOUETTE set.

The set includes 66 images and at first I really didn't know where to start but once I got going I had so many ideas.  This set is super easy to use and I am sure to use it again.

I have also cut my base card using a shaped file from Lettering Delights using my Pazzles Inspiration.

This sentiment is also from The Cutting Cafe which is from a printable set called ELISHA JEAN AND FRIENDS. For the background paper I used a TILE from Lettering Delights which was free last week!  It took me a while how to use the TILE in my Pazzles Inspiration.  I eventually worked out how to use the TILES but with practise they will be great fun to use my projects.

Be sure to check out the Design Team's inspiration during this week on the new blog.

Smiley Faces

I just love this card because you just can't help but smile at these faces.  For those of you who follow my blog, you will know these are not the typical colours I generally use for my cards BUT I thought they worked well with the bright yellow faces!

I have used 2 sets from The Cutting Cafe for this card.  I have use a file from the WINDOW CARD set of templates and cutting files which features 22 different window cards. For this particular card  I have used the rectangle with circles set which I cut on my Pazzles Inspiration.

For the smiley faces I have used the YOU MAKE ME SMILE printable stamp set which features lots of smiley faces, circle words, sentiments and smiley face borders.......loads of stuff.

Apple for the Teacher card

The kids break up from school next week which I am looking forward to.....no school runs, no sandwiches to prepare for lunch boxes and no dashing around.  However, I will miss my crafting time over the summer weeks but nothing compares to having FUN with the kids around.

I made this shaped base card on my Pazzles Inspiration using Kraft Card.  I then layered some white linen card which I ran through my printer using some Lettering Delights fonts which turned out great and gave me the look I wanted.

I cut out this cute apple available at THE CUTTING CAFE from the APPLE SHAPED CARD template.  I then made my 1st ever paper rose, used my new seam binding and printed out the sentiment on the computer.

I hope the teachers will be happy with their 'thank you cards'!

I wanted to enter more challenges but could only find these three, so if you know of any other challenges that I could enter this card into please let me know.

Just Chillin

Wow, it' been a glorious day here in the UK, the sun has been shining all day today.  Over at The Cutting Cafe this month's inspiration is SUMMER themed.

I was looking at some old files that Regina Easter has on her website and noticed this gorgeous printable stamp "JUST CHILLIN" of a popsicle, so called in the USA or lollipop, so called in the UK.

I found a paper stack by Pebbles Inc in one of my craft drawers and decided to take the plunge and use the papers.  They are gorgeous colours and perfect for this card which I cut out on my Pazzles Inspiration.

I promised the kids that once I had made this card we would go into town and watch the street carnival.  I kept my word because this card was so quick to put together.  I designed and cut the shaped base notch card and layers on my Pazzles Inspiration.

If you head over to The Cutting Cafe you will see some SUMMER INSPIRATION projects from The Design Team.  Leave a comment at The Cutting Cafe and let Regina Easter know what you think of the projects and there will be a random draw to win any 3 sets of your choice.  She will randomly choose one winner this coming Friday the 15th before midnight.

Onesie Shaped Card

Oh my gosh, earlier this week The Cutting Cafe brought out 2 adorable shaped cards which I have incorporated into one!  As soon as I saw them, I knew instantly how I wanted to created these cards.

Perfect timing because a friend of mine is about to have her second child and all I need to know is if it's going to be a pink or blue variety!

For the ONESIE SHAPED CARD.... template - cutting file which I cut out on my Pazzles Inspiration I used some very old white Bazzill Dots paper.  I then cut out the trimmings from my all time favourite Gingham Craft Creations paper.

For the elephant embellishment I reduced the size of the elephant from the ELEPHANT SHAPED CARD...template - cutting file with my Pazzles and adhered using foam pads.

I don't know what happened to the colouring of the pearls on the pink shaped card when I photographed it but in real life the pearls DO match the pink gingham.

If you head over to The Cutting Cafe there is a monthly inspiration and you will see some great cards by the Design Team showcasing projects just for the Guys....Father's Day and more.  There is also a chance to WIN ANY 3 SETS from The Cutting Cafe if you leave a comment.  So be inspired by the Design Team and click the link HERE.

Good Luck.

Father's Day Shaped Card

On the 13th June, you should go and check out the MONTHLY INSPIRATION at The Cutting Cafe.  Regina Easter has asked the Design Team to base their monthly inspiration on Manly, Father's Day cards using some specific files.  I must say I did struggle with this as I do like girlie cards.....well don't we all!

With my Pazzles Inspiration I cut out the base of the shaped card using the INTERSTATE SHAPED CARD cutting file which comes from the IT'S ROAD TRIP TIME AGAIN set.  This set includes a huge amount of printable stamps ideal for male cards.

I also used the COLORED DAD WORD BLOCK printable set from The Cutting Cafe for the background which has been printed onto white card.

I couldn't resist a bit of doodling and some buttons from my stash.

That's my male themed card for this year!

I have entered this card into several challenges:-

Surf Board Shaped Card

When I popped into my local papercraft shop (Flutterby Crafts) I saw some packs of folded cards and a card designed by Nicky Hayden which inspired me to make this card.

I have used a number of files from The Cutting Cafe with my Pazzles Inspiration for this SHAPED SURF BOARD CARD so here goes.......

I used the CLOUD BACKGROUND COLORED SET....printable stamp set, added my own seagulls and glitter to the clouds.

I then used the SUN SAND SURF printable stamps set for the text and waves which have been layered onto my folded base card from Flutterby Crafts. The surf boards were cut using KaiserCraft papers from the Candy lane collection with the SURFBOARD SHAPED CARD SET....template - cutting file cut out on my Pazzles.

A cute button, ribbon, pearls and doodling finished off this fun card.......so here in the UK I scream where is the SUN!

I have entered this card into several challenges:-

Graduate Shaped Card

For this shaped card, which I cut on my Pazzles Inspiration, I have used 3 files from The Cutting Cafe!!!!  I thought the INTERSTATE SHAPED CARD could double up as a trophy plaque, you know the sort that graduates receive on their Graduation day.

I then printed out the 2011 CONGRATS GRAD Printable Stamp Set onto Kraft Card, then printed and layered the sentiment 'G is for Graduate' from the G SHAPED CARD SET. I have also stamped some swirls using a stamp with black ink around the sentiment.

See how The Cutting Cafe cut files and printable stamps can be used for various cards when your imagination gets into crafty mode, like mine often does just when I am just nodding off to sleep!

I have entered this card into the following challenges:-

Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
Digi Doodles - Anything Goes

Flip Flop Shaped Card

Summer is here and I couldn't resist making this FLIP FLOP shaped card from The Cutting Cafe. It is my all time favourite shaped card and super quick to cut out on my Pazzles Inspiration.
This FLIP FLOP shaped card is approx. a little bigger then 2 by 5 inches....it comes with 3 embellishments to put on the flip flop and a matching envelope. The file comes in the following formats: wpc, pdf and svg.

I have used October Afternoon double sided paper which comes in 12 x 12 called Patio Umbrella available here.

Last year I made a pink FLIP FLOP shaped card from the same template for my daughter which you can take a peek at here.

Hot Air Balloon Shaped Card

This Hot Air Balloon Shaped Card is available from The Cutting Cafe and is so adorable. As soon as Regina Easter brings out a new template I can't wait to cut it out on my Pazzles Inspiration and play!!

The card template - cutting file comes with 15 sentiments and 3 different tops which come in pdf, wpc and svg format.

You know me, I can't resist a bow and a girlie embellishment to add to my project. I have used digi papers from Pink Petticoat and Kraft card from my stash.

I have used one of the sentiments and here are some of the others in the set.......

Today in England we have had blue skies and sunshine, I only wish that one day I will get the chance to fly in a hot air balloon ( of course it would have to be pink and girlie!).

Here is a photo, to show you how the shaped card looks when stood open and upright. My creative juices went into overdrive when I made this quick card, and I was finished in no time.

Thanks Regina, for giving us such inspiring templates and printable stamps to work.

Egg Shaped Goodie Holder

Well what a weekend! The weather is glorious in England at the moment and great for gardening. Yesterday, Hubby suggested that he would cut the grass but I said no, lets start cutting back the shrubs and clean the patio (famous last words).

Please do not continue to read if you are squeamish.....

So, my job was to de-weed the patio and hubby to cut back the shubs. It was all going well when I heard a scream for help from my husband round the corner. There he was on the floor clutching a very bent arm!!!

I called the kids off the trampoline, grabbed my phone, bottle of water and piled everyone off to hospital. I am getting used to limbs being broken in my family (4 so far!), so we get to hospital quite swiftly. However, hubby has lots of metal pins in his arm due to a previous break a couple of years ago. The pins did the job but the breakage was just beyond the pins!!! He is now awaiting surgery for a rather complicated re-build. Poor him, dosed on painkillers waiting for 'the phone call'.

I now regret putting him off cutting the grass (it would have less dangerous with hindsight), and yes, he jokingly says "it's all my fault".

Anyway, this morning at the supermarket the kids couldn't resist buying Easter Eggs and I couldn't wait to get back home to make this Egg Shaped Goodie Holder from The Cutting Cafe.

I cut the Egg Shaped Goodie Holder on my Pazzles Inspiration (easy peasy) then then adhered the oval shape in the centre.

I used the EASTER MINI WORDS......PRINTABLE STAMPS which are perfect for tags of which there are a total of 37 mini words!

I placed all the eggs in a cello bag and tied a bow with one of my favourite ribbons. I promised the kids they could eat them when photographed!!

Right off to give the hubby some TLC!!
